How It Works

Step 1. To begin working with us, there are two options available to you:

Option 1: Start Now – To have us get to work right away on your entire survey, simply click on "Start Now" (at right), which will take you to our brief form where you can securely and confidentially tell us about yourself, your organization, and your survey. (See our Privacy Policy). You will have the option of uploading your survey draft or other document, though this isn't required. You will also use this online form to give us approval to begin work and then make your payment. We kindly request full payment before we begin our work for you.

Option 2: Free Sample – To give you a taste of what we can do for you, we are happy to provide you, free of charge, at least three important edits or enhancements to your survey. Just click on "Request a Free Sample" (at right), which will take you to our brief form where you can securely and confidentially tell us about yourself, your organization, and your survey. (See our Privacy Policy). You will have the option of uploading your survey draft or other document, though this isn't required. We will respond by email with our free advice within 48 hours. If you then choose to proceed with our service, we will send you by email an order form in which you will give us approval to begin work and make your payment.

Step 2. You will receive an email confirmation that your order was processed successfully.

Step 3. Within 24 hours of your order we will follow up with you by email to either, 1) Let you know we have begun work on your survey, or 2) Ask a few questions to better understand your business objectives, research objectives, or information needs. We will begin work on your survey after receiving your response.

Step 4. Within 3 days after we begin work on your survey you will receive via email your completed survey! Here are the details about how we deliver your survey to you:
• We will write your survey in Microsoft Word.
• We will write your survey in a format that will be easy for you to copy and paste into an online survey application.
• We will provide simple instructions to help you with online programming, such as page breaks, question type, skip/branch logic, randomization, and so on.
• If we are editing a survey draft of yours, we will use the "Track Changes" feature in MS Word so that you can see the changes we have made. We will also send you a clean copy without all the changes visible.
• We offer unlimited revisions on your survey, giving you the chance to ask questions or request changes until you are completely satisfied with it.
• We guarantee that you will be 100% satisfied with your survey. If you are dissatisfied for any reason, just let us know and we will work to solve the issue or refund your payment. See our Terms of Service for more information.

Step 5. Survey & Invitation Check (Optional)

Survey Check - If you are programming your survey in an online survey application (such as SurveyMonkey), let us check your work before you send your survey in order to remove your risk and worry that it will not operate correctly. Things we will test include survey flow (including branching/skip logic), question formatting/layout, randomization, and anything else necessary to ensure that the survey we helped you write is performing exactly as it is designed. Just send us a test link and we will respond with our feedback within 24 hours.

Invitation Check - We will edit the survey invitation you intend to use or write you a new one from scratch. We will ensure that it contains just the right amount of detail on the survey topic, survey length, deadline, and "what's in it for me" to encourage a strong response from your target audience and reduce the risk of bias. We will deliver this at the same time we deliver your completed survey in Step 4.
